Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

Draft — under legal review. This policy describes how Meal2U works today. It has not yet been checked by a qualified legal adviser and may change. Items in [square brackets] are still to be completed.

1. Meal2U’s own material

The Meal2U name, logo, app design and text are owned by or licensed to Alphaverse Consultant Private Limited [confirm ownership and any registered trade marks]. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

Country flags shown in the app come from the open-source flag-icons project (MIT licence); the full licence is on the app’s licences page.

2. What you upload

Cooks upload kitchen photos, logos, dish photos, dish names and descriptions. Everyone may upload a profile photo, and customers write reviews.

  • Upload only material you own or have permission to use.
  • You keep ownership of what you upload. You allow Meal2U to show it in the app and on Meal2U’s pages for as long as it is on the service [scope of licence — Requires Legal Review].
  • Do not upload other people’s photos, brand logos or recipes copied from books or websites without permission.

3. Reporting a problem

If you believe something on Meal2U infringes your rights, contact us through Profile → Complaints and Support with:

  • what the material is and where it appears (kitchen, dish or review);
  • what right you own and evidence of it;
  • your contact details.

Staff may hide the material while they look into it. [Notice-and-takedown process and counter-notice — Requires Legal Review.]

4. Repeated infringement

Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material may be suspended. Suspensions are recorded with a reason.
